Our Statement of Faith

.

The beliefs of the Third (3rd) Watch UK are expressed in its Declaration of Faith, The 3rd Watch UK believes in the inspired word of God, which is found in the Holy Bible, the doctrine of the Trinity, and the deity of Jesus Christ. In the holy bible, we find the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of mankind, and the divine and final authority for the Christian faith and life.

(1 Timothy 2:5; Luke 1:27-35; 1 Timothy 3:16; Romans.8:34).

We believe that human beings were created in the image of God but, because of the Fall, we became naturally depraved and sinful. We believe in the substitutionary atonement accomplished by the death of Christ. The Third (3rd) Watch UK teaches that salvation is by grace through faith and not by good works. Believers are justified by faith and born again upon repentance and acceptance of Christ as Lord and king.

Consistent with its belief is human free will, the Third 3rd Watch UK also teaches that it is possible for a believer to backslide or commit apostasy. The Third (3rd) Watch UK teaches that sanctification is a continual process of spiritual growth. Christian perfection and holiness can be attained through surrender and consecration to God.

This spiritual growth is believed to be promoted by Bible study , meditation on the revealed word of God, living by the words of Christ and prayer (discipleship).

The Third (3rd) Watch UK believes in the baptism with the Holy Spirit as an event separate from conversion that empowers the individual and the wider body of Christ to fulfil the church's mission of evangelization and discipleship. The Third (3rd) Watch UK Expects Spirit baptism to be received in the same manner as recorded in the Book of Acts, namely that the believer will receive spiritual power and gifts, with outward manifestation which includes speaking in tongues.

The evidence of the Spirit-filled life is the Fruit of the Spirit. The Third (3rd) Watch UK believes that spiritual gifts continue in operation for the edification of the body of Christ. The Third (3rd) Watch UK believes that divine healing is a part of Christ's atonement. It teaches that the sick can be healed in response to the prayer of faith.

The (3rd) Watch UK anticipates a return of Christ to earth. It believes that there will be a future final judgement where the righteous will receive everlasting life and the wicked everlasting punishment in accordance to bible(Kjv).

The Third (3rd) Watch UK observes believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion as ordinances. Open communion is practised. Anointing of the sick, feet washing, giving, offering and free will gifts are practised as well.

All in accordance with the revealed word of God from the Holy Bible.
